June is Aphasia Awareness Month around the country and around the world!
It is an opportunity for the NAA to educate the general public about aphasia… what it is, and what it is not. We are also able to share all of the amazing programs serving people with aphasia and their families in communities across the nation.
June is also our most important time to secure the funds vital to the National Aphasia Association. With 37 years of continuous service to individuals with aphasia and their families, the NAA is THE nonprofit organization for resources, education, training and connections. We need your help to continue this role as a beacon of hope for this deserving community.
Our 2024 theme is Amplify Aphasia Voices!
You can support the NAA’s June Fundraising Campaign … here’s a few actionable items:
- Make a donation to the National Aphasia Association (online or check). It’s simple and impactful! https://aphasia.org/donate/. You can honor a person with aphasia and we’ll let that person/family know of your thoughtfulness.
- Donations can also be made in the form of Stock Transfers, Donor Advised Funds or IRA Charitable Rollover Gifts. These types of gifts can help you and the organization. Check out how easy it is to do this: https://aphasia.org/ways-to-give/
- Our special June 2024 campaign to Amplify Aphasia Voices allows you to “purchase” a megaphone to honor a person you love or serve with aphasia. We share that on our virtual wall and awareness builds! Here’s the link to this meaningful initiative: https://pages.donately.com/aphasia/fundraiser/amplify-aphasia-voices-2024
- Start your own Peer to Peer Fundraiser. You can do this on our website https://pages.donately.com/aphasia/campaign/fundraise-for-the-naa or through Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/fund/NatlAphasiaAssoc/
- Become a GEM! A GEM is a sustainer who supports the NAA monthly; a Giving Every Month individual who helps us plan and grow!
Thank you for supporting the National Aphasia Association! Know that by donating to the NAA, YOU are raising awareness and amplifying the voices of those who struggle to find theirs!
